Home EV Chargers
For installations in your home, we recommend the Zappi EV charger. The Zappi Ireland charger is a smart electric vehicle charger available in 16A or 32A options but with a difference. Not only does it work like a traditional electric vehicle charger, but you can also charge your electric vehicle with 100% free energy generated by your solar photovoltaic (PV) panels or wind turbine.
The charging current is automatically and continuously adjusted for on-site generation and household energy consumption. In fast charging mode, the Zappi Ireland charger acts as a standard electric vehicle charging station.
Zappi is available with or without a tie, depending on your needs. You can easily access the charger using a PIN code and control it via the app on your smartphone (this feature requires an optional Wi-Fi hub). The charger is compatible with all makes and models of electric vehicles and is future-proofed for new models coming to market. It can also be updated with future software and firmware as they are released.
Electric Car Chargers for your Business
For installations in your workplace, be it an office building, corporate campus or other workplace, we offer the EVBox range of chargers, which we highly recommend. EVBox chargers have all the smart features of the Zappi charger and use renewable energy, but also offer smart billing and multi-vehicle charging.
For larger and more robust installations we also use the commercial range of high quality EVBox and Rolec chargers. Such facilities can be networked, managed and monitored using management software. Automatic invoicing can also be done internally or externally.
Like our other chargers, the Rolec and EVBox chargers are weatherproof, shockproof and suitable for freezing and scorching temperatures. With clean lines and features, you will find a station that not only functions but also looks good and stylish in any building.
SEAI Electric Car Grant Information
A new government-funded grant scheme has been introduced to help homeowners install an electric vehicle charging point on their property. The current ESB Ecars free home charger scheme ended in 2017. The new scheme began in 2018 and offers a grant of up to €300 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger. The applicant must own an eligible new or used electric vehicle (EV).
